The Face the MBE Facts card game was designed to provoke conversation and debate while helping to inform, validate, and transform how teachers, school leaders and parents think about the science of learning. Each of the 52 cards was written in a way to make you think hard about elements of teaching and learning, including AI, attention, emotion and cognition, feedback, literacy, memory, metacognition, motivation, and struggle. The responsible use of these research-informed cards means that, like all science of learning research, you need to consider them in the context of your own school and your own students. It helps to have a moderator who has read the cards and who thoroughly understands the research on each of them and the nuances of what it means and what it does not mean. As you experience the cards, enjoy the idea exchange and take the time to closely read and continue the discussion on the research-informed answer (with citation) that comes with each card.
